- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆I checked in online. I was given a time of 2:36. I have a 2 year old and we planned our day around the appointment. I didn't want to sit for hours in a lobby with a toddler. When I showed up, the kiosk was unable to find my reservation. Maybe I made a mistake when entering my phone number at home. The girl at the front desk was not helpful at all. I don't understand how the website could give me a time if my reservation didn't go through. - ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆First, I tried to use the"Get in line online" feature on the website. It didn't work. So I decided to just go in and be done with it. All I needed was to get a Texas license after moving from out of state. I had all paperwork ready ahead of time, this should take around 30 minutes or so, plus maybe up to 45 minutes waiting. Wastes a lot of time for something simple, but no other choice. It wasn't very crowded, and I was only about 30 people behind the current person. Adter waiting for an hour and a half, I asked how much longer I should expect. They said at least two more hours. Since I had other appointments, I gave up and left. There really needs to be a better option for new residents. This was ridiculous, and I still get to sit through it again.By James Tullos, December 15, 2016
