- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Have been a customer with Allstate and Richard for over 21 years with two homes. When I needed Allstate for home damage from the last storms in Austin my, claim was rejected. Allstate Agents rejected the claim because the storm did not create an "Opening" for the water to come through the house. Read your actual coverage very very very carefully. The words being utilized to ensure Allstate is never liable unless an OBJECT hits your house and damages the house. So if water penetrates the house without a VISIBLE OPENING your claim will be rejected. My claim was rejected by their management as well, which tells me this company does not care about customer retention. Next time there is a storm your only course of action is to throw an object (Rock or tree branch) through the windows to ensure your claim is covered.By Ramzi Al-Abed, September 30, 2016
